Things are great! We had a private leash lesson on Sat. am with a trainer who lives in my neighborhood. Today was her first day at the lovely day camp/spa near my office. She fit is so well and played all day. Interestingly, she already found a boyfriend…Spencer…the camp owner’s Jack Russel mix. When I came to pick her up they were playing and running around with each other. We noticed the boy even tried to protect her when another large but nice dog came along. She got all her vaccines last week. Vet felt she has some allergies since her paws are stained from licking,,, which I’ve seen her do. So she’s on a yeast med and I’m doing the paw soak. She goes back in two weeks for eval.

She is a miraculous walker with the prong collar and a crazy one with just the leash. I personally enjoy watching her dart around and sniff but understand she needs the boundaries of good manners. Sunday we are going to a 45 min. playdate at the Wi Humane Society. I’ll watch closely. Spa said she is still a little standoffish with larger dogs
she doesn’t know.

Right now she is snuggled up on my bed…she found that around last Sat. I still put her in the crate during the day and to sleep at night. Am looking for a good dog walker but has to be really good and I have to like her/him.

So things are great and I hope she is loving it as much as I love having her. Oh, I decided on the name Sasha…she looks and acts like a sasha…elegant, exotic, chic and fun. She’s looks a little thin to me but I monitor that with the vet. So all in all we are settling in…today was a big step for me…leaving her at the day care. But they are great people and I felt just fabulous when I picked her up and got the report that she made many friends and had a fun day. So thank you for adding so much to my life. Hope I can repay the favor. I promise to keep in touch and hope you do too. I plan to have her stay at the Mutt Hutt when I come down to Chicago.
