Because of our deep commitment to helping those animals most in need, ARFhouse Chicago occasionally takes in a dog who needs a little more training than the average dog. Or a senior, who moves a little slower. Or a fearful dog, whose early years of abuse make him anxious in new situations. Whatever the case, we want all our dogs to succeed in becoming the best companions they can be. Below is a list of our pets who have special needs to be considered before adopting. Please don’t pass them by—we hope you’ll take the time to get to know them. Maybe one of them could be a perfect fit for you!

Clover
Clover came to us as a stray and we realized that in order to make her an exceptional adoption candidate, we have to make sure that Clover learns basic training and manners to make her a great companion for an adopter. Clover’s adopter will get the benefit of follow-up training as well. Clover is a smart girl who is eager to please so we are certain training will bring out the best in her! Read more
