Thank you for choosing ARFhouse Chicago to adopt your companion animal! It is our goal to make a happy, compatible and lasting match between you and your new companion. Here’s how it works:

• You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt, with current identification that shows your correct address and phone number.

• Your adoption fee provides for complete veterinary care for your adopted animal to date. This includes spaying or neutering, current vaccinations, identifying microchip, and the additional health procedures that many of our animals have received while in our care. The requested donation is $200 for dogs, $100 for cats, $100 for rabbits and $30 for guinea pigs.

• If you’re a renter: Please have a copy of your lease or your landlord’s phone number available.

• If you live in an apartment or condo: Please investigate all weight and breed restrictions for your building, so that we can find a compatible match.

Please note: If you have not heard from an ARFhouse adoption counselor within 5 days, either by phone or e-mail, your application to adopt has not been approved.
