Please help with our Veterinary Bills!

Since its inception, this has been the most burdensome summer of unforeseen medical expenses for ARFhouse Chicago and our recent spate of needed emergency vet care has drastically reduced our funds. Our Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix, Twelve, was left at our vet clinic by her owners who did not want to pay for surgery to have the 12 cents she ingested removed. She would have been euthanized if we had not intervened and paid the $1500 for her to have surgery. Francesca, a young Schnauzer mix was just diagnosed with bladder stones and will be having a $1100 surgery and a dental. Only a few days after his adoption our lovely Leo was rushed to the vet and then to a neurology specialist where they removed a tumor. His heartbreaking outcome resulted in over $3775 of expenses. Of course puppies always cost a little more since there is more vetting to be done, but the labrador litter pulled in early July also had compromised immune systems from intestinal parasites which resulted in an additional $2775 in emergency bills for 24 hour care. Last week Jill was diagnosed with pneumonia and was hospitalized for 2 days and had just around $800 in bills.

Our average veterinary costs hover around $2000 a month and that is if no one needs emergency care. We cannot afford to help any more emergencies until funds are donated to replenish our emergency care fund. Please help! We urgently need your donation.
